‘The Beast’ opens Stoke’s first indoor mini golf complex

OCTOBER 24, 2020:  World’s Strongest Man winner Eddie ‘The Beast’ Hall cut the ribbon to officially open the new 36-hole indoor golf complex at Stoke-on-Trent’s Waterworld leisure resort – then tested his skills on the course!

The Adventure Mini Golf attraction is on the top floor of a 70,000 sq ft extension at the Waterworld complex. It is the latest part of a multi-million pound expansion of the Festival Park site, which is already home to the UK’s number one indoor aqua park.

There are two distinctly different 18-hole Adventure Mini Golf courses – a Jungle Falls challenge and a Temple Ruins trail – which transport players back to the ancient Inca empire.

They include a waterfall, a range of unique hand-painted murals, and a chance to win prizes with a hole in one on the 18th.

There is also a tiki bar which can be hired for parties or corporate events, and a jungle themed children’s party room.

Eddie filmed scenes for his latest Youtube video after cutting the ribbon to perform the official opening, trying out the Jungle Falls course.

“We’ve had a really good time – it’s a cracking course,” he said. “This is an amazing complex.

“We are all living in a very tough time, and for Mo to step up and open a business like this during this period is a big and brave risk – putting something out there for the community.

“It’s a safe environment for everyone to come and have a good day – great for all the family.”

Entrepreneur Mo Chaudry, owner of the resort, said: “The Covid-19 lockdown delayed our original timescales, but we are excited to have finally opened our doors.

“It’s great to be able to bring something positive to Stoke-on-Trent in these difficult times – this is what entrepreneurship is all about.”

He added: “Anyone who has been to our existing Adventure Mini Golf site at Star City in Birmingham will know exactly what sort of colourful fun is in store at the centre here.”

Full details about the new Adventure Mini Golf complex, including prices and family discounts, are on the website adventureislandminigolf.co.uk/adventure-mini-golf-stoke-on-trent.
